đž Where It All Began
Curepaw was born out of love, loss, and the search for healing.
In April 2021, Leonzoâs beloved tabby cat Figaro passed away. The silence left in Figaroâs absence was deeper than words could capture. Searching for comfort, Leonzo discovered something profound: while nothing could replace the presence of a pet, art could preserve memory in a form that felt aliveâsomething to hold, something to see, something to heal with.
This realization connected him with Erika and Sheridan, two friends who also believed in the power of handmade art to speak where language cannot. What began as a small idea among three friends grew into a heartfelt mission:
đ to create keepsakes that honor the unbreakable bond between people and their pets.
đ¨ The Makers Behind Curepaw
Curepaw is not a factory, but a team of artists and friendsâeach bringing their own background, craft, and love for animals into the work.
⨠Erika (1998) â A licensed counselor and artist, Erika bridges mental wellness and creativity. With her cats Martini (Abyssinian) and Cora (black cat) by her side, she understands the deep emotions behind saying goodbye to a pet. Her needle-felted creations carry both precision and empathy, making them more than artâthey are vessels of memory.
⨠Leonzo (1994) â An electrical engineer by training, Leonzo is a craftsman at heart. He creates with leather, oil paint, and silver, finding peace in materials shaped by hand. After losing Figaro, his journey transformed grief into purpose. Today, his Saluki dog Aperol reminds him daily of the quiet companionship that inspired Curepawâs beginning.
⨠Sheridan (2001) â A high school art teacher who loves origami, embroidery, and silversmithing. Sheridan brings patience, warmth, and youthful creativity to every piece she makes. Her Bengal cat, Karen, fuels her imagination and her understanding of petsâ vibrant personalities.
Together, we are Curepawâa team guided not by trends or mass production, but by authenticity, compassion, and the spirit of handmade craft.
